As part of the Controlling team at cosnova, you will play an active role in driving the financial steering of a rapidly growing international business. In our dynamic environment, Controlling is a key success factor, providing decision-makers with relevant, transparent and actionable insights to support sustainable growth.

This role offers a broad range of responsibilities through close collaboration within the Controlling team and with numerous stakeholders across the business. A particular focus lies on budgeting and forecasting, playing a key role in shaping the company's financial direction in close partnership with the management team.

As Supply Chain Controller, you will be the key Controlling interface for our Supply Chain organization, creating transparency around logistics costs and enabling well-informed business decisions. Together with cross-functional stakeholders, you will develop meaningful analyses, support strategic decision-making, and identify opportunities to optimize performance across the entire Supply Chain.

  • Take ownership of controlling all logistics-related costs, including warehousing, freight and destruction costs, while ensuring transparency and sustainable cost management
  • Prepare the annual budget and regular forecasts for your area of responsibility and derive volume planning based on the company's sales forecast
  • Manage selected month-end closing activities, particularly relating to product destructions, inventory write-downs and the reconciliation of relevant systems
  • Work closely with our logistics site in Butzbach as well as colleagues from Supply Chain, Planning and Finance to support sound business and financial decisions
  • Oversee the project cost controlling for our warehouse expansion in close collaboration with the local Controlling team and Fixed Asset Accounting
  • Evaluate the financial impact and business case of new Supply Chain initiatives, such as additional distribution centres or external warehouse solutions
  • Analyse cost structures and key cost drivers, identify optimisation opportunities and develop sustainable measures to improve Supply Chain cost efficiency
  • Continuously enhance our reporting landscape by developing and optimising reports and dashboards using Infor BI and Tableau, providing meaningful insights for decision-making
  • Prepare management reports and decision papers while contributing to ad hoc analyses and cross-functional projects

  • A degree in Business Administration, Economics or a comparable commercial qualification
  • Professional experience in Controlling, ideally with a focus on Supply Chain or Logistics Controlling
    • We also welcome motivated Controllers with experience in related Controlling functions who are eager to expand into Supply Chain topics
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a solid understanding of business processes and a passion for data-driven analysis, scenario planning and KPI development
  • A structured and independent way of working, paired with a high level of initiative and ownership
  • A hands-on mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, international environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial topics into clear, audience-appropriate insights
  • A collaborative team player with curiosity, flexibility and an openness to new topics and projects
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential for working successfully within our international team and organization
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel; experience with SAP and Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Infor BI and/or Tableau) is considered a plus
